Unless your life is like a Seinfeld episode, we all have days that are perfunctory.  Paying bills and picking up your dry cleaning rarely inspire the next great Kindle read.  Then, there are those infrequent uproarious occurrences (“The chances were one in a million, doc – one in a MILLION!”) that you just have to put pen to paper, so to speak.  But when we don’t have Kramer as a next door neighbor dragging us kicking and screaming into our next escapade filled with “adolescent hijinks”, how do you get the creative juices flowing? 

  1.  Stream of conscious writing or recording:  Outside of your therapist, not too many people in our lives let us “talk up a blue streak”, wandering on and off topic with the coherence of a two-year-old.  Take your smartphone, journal, or even Post It notes with you to the dog park, to the grocery…
